Men should… read these 5 reasons why living on your own isn’t that bad at all

Contrary to popular belief, living alone really doesn’t have to be a sign of failure. Given the high cost of real estate today, especially in the big cities, life alone should be seen as a sign of financial stability. In a world where most working professionals need three or four roommates to make a living out of it, living alone is a luxury that few can afford.

That said, there are plenty of things we’ve all heard about living alone. However, we’re not particularly in favor of bullshit, so let’s see what living alone doesn’t have to mean at all. Let’s see…

Living alone doesn’t mean you’re lonely

Not many people understand the differences between being alone and being lonely. Knowing how to survive alone is a sign of independence – be it financial or otherwise. Being lonely is often a choice. Just because you live alone doesn’t mean you don’t have a social life. In contrast, you can have five roommates and feel isolated.

Nobody wants to live with you

Again, just because you live alone doesn’t mean you didn’t have the opportunity to live with other people. Living solo is just as much a conscious choice as living with roommates. People who live alone may have had the chance to live with a partner or friend and decided not to. Tribute to them if you ask us.

Apartments for one person cannot be found

Have you ever tried to shop apartments in the city center? Most apartments are the size of an average garage box and will cost you a fortune. Finding an apartment that is comfortable for one is actually much easier than the alternative.

You just like to make a mess of it

Many people assume that people who live alone do not have the same standard of living. The truth is, a roommate doesn’t automatically make you a neater person. Hi, how many of you had a sloppy collegiate roommate? If you are clean, you are clean. When you are organized, you are organized. It doesn’t matter who you live with.

The transition to living together is too great

The only constant in life is that everything around you changes. If your circumstances change – financial problems, become more serious with a partner, etc. – you can and will adapt. Living alone at a point in your life doesn’t mean you can’t go back to the alternative.

Ultimately, living alone is an important experience, and if you have the resources, we think everyone should do it at least once. It’s helpful to not only get to know yourself, but realize what you’re really looking for in a potential partner or roommate.
